Eventually, I needed to get some sleep, but the party was still going on outside.  It was well after 2 am.  The
following morning the PVB needed to be returned before we headed to the airport for our 1 PM flight.  Since I
was the driver, I needed to get just a few hours of keeping my eyes closed.  Shortly after the last few PVBers
went to bed, I got up to pull us out of there and head back west.  It didn’t take as long to get back to the
coast, definitely not as long as it took us to get to the Gorge.  There was no one on the road, so that made it
easy.  I did very well on the mountain roads on the way back too.  Then again, they weren’t as curvy as
the Oregon road just a few days ago.  We got back to the area where the PVB needed to be returned in plenty
of time.  It took us a while to pack up, okay, it took me a while to pack up.  After packing up our clothes, we
needed to find a place to dump the holding tank.  I had asked someone where we could do that when first got
back to the area.  They said right down the road.  Well, we went there, and they said no, not here, but you can
go there.  When we got to the second place they said no.  Anyway, now it was getting late.  Still needed to
return the PVB and then drive at least 30 minutes to the airport.
we got to the airport about 45 minutes before our plane was to depart.  What do we find when we get inside?
A huge line waiting to clear security.  Panic set in right away.  Airport personnel kept going through the line
and looking for people whose flights were leaving immediately.  We never got pulled out of the line.  We
cleared security with not even 10 minutes to spare.  We ran from security all the way to the end of the
terminal, which is where our gate was.  They closed door just after we got there.  Talk about just making it.
After we got comfortable in our seats, I told Jen that I wasn’t tired and that I didn’t think that I would
be able to sleep during the flight.  With that, I wake up to find us in the air over Warshington, looking down at
the mountaintops.  We both passed out and she was still snoring away.  I didn’t sleep much during the
flight.  Just kept going over everything that had happened during the past five days.  Basically savoring all the
memories that we had just made.  It was a lot of fun.  It took a lot of planning, but it was definitely worth it.
Thanks to Jen, Nae, Kelly, Donna, Sylvia, Jamie, Sherri, and Carol for making it a memorable trip.  Thanks to
Kenny, Keith, Deana, and their bands for putting on a great show.  Can’t forget the crew that gets them
there and setup thanks to ya’ll too.
